    Crisis Intervention & Assistance...

 

This sub-committee of the South Sound Alzheimer's Council provides further understanding and develops resources to deal with caregiver crisis arising from Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.

 

     Consultation Services...

 

As a community service, the Council provides consultations for families needing help around issues of care giving for persons with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. Consultations are at no cost for the initial visit and include education about Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, memory loss, impaired decision making, judgment issues, communication issues and techniques, behavioral concerns, family dynamics, and possible approaches to handling individual problems and situations.

 

     Respite Care Scholarships...

 

There is funding available to pay for short-term emergency respite care when no other option is available. Call either phone number listed as point of contacts.
